Need help with my thesis statement....can u tell me if what i have is good or can you please fix it?

Good novels are designed to be multifaceted: it is not uncommon for books to have multiple themes; having a couple of major themes certainly doesn't warrant a 'unique' classification. Incidentally, I am sure there are more than two major themes in Song of Solomon. A thesis dictates your argument, which for you, appears to be nonexistent. Are you attempting to prove the themes of race and gender? There is nothing to prove because you are not interpreting anything - your thesis is a mere statement of fact.
