Should I drink to fit in at work, or not drink and look weird?

Don't drink. It's just silly to drink something you dislike just to fit in. Your co-workers will get used to you not drinking. I had a similar problem when I became vegan and I would go out with my new friends and they all ordered meat dishes and I sat there nibbling on my little salad. But I believed in my choice and principals and stuck with it. Now, however, they all know I don't eat meat and don't even think twice about it, it's just become normal to them too. If they're really such nice people they probably don't mind when you don't drink and if they do hound you then they aren't very tolerant. Don't worry you'll get over the awkwardness after a while (especially once you get to know them better and become more comfortable with your co-workers)

Almost all small budget hotels in America seem to be managed by Indians (people from the country of India, that is). i imagine the terms of your probation were stay out of trouble, period. you didn't. hence the violation of probation charge you will be facing. even though the charges (motorcycle) were dropped, you still messed up. if i was the judge, i'd let you go, but i'm not. my best guess would be that you will face additional probation (1-2 years) and more community service hours (50-100.) can't imagine you'd get any jail time. a lot is going to depend on what you could have gotten instead of probation on your original charge. get yourself a lawyer and good luck.

We are having a very informal wedding. It is a rustic wedding at a friends house and I know most of our friends who are heavy drinkers will show up with ice chests full of their own alcoholic drinks. I woke up not being able to breathe and found out my cat passed away?

I just got back from a family reunion in another state. Before me, my brother, my mom and stepdad left, we had to figure out what to do with one of our cats. She's about 15 years old, and a week before we left, she developed a urinary tract infection (she's had one before), and she became weak. She wouldn't eat or drink unless we pushed it on her, and she had to take medication on her belly for a scab wound that kept reappearing after it dropped off. So with all these problems, we wanted to leave her at a pet hotel or at the animal hospital while we were gone. They wouldn't take her for some reasons, so we left her at home with my aunt. The first few days during our vacation, we got calls that our cat was fine. Then on the fourth night, I had some problems with my allergies and my whole nose was plugged up. This was the only time during our trip that I had real trouble breathing, and I had to breathe through my mouth. The next morning, my mom told me and my brother that our cat had passed away overnight. I know it's silly to think that my breathing problem had anything to do with my cat's passing, but I sometimes think about how people can tell if someone important in their life has passed away. Sooo is it possible that they could be linked? Or am I just linking two things together that don't relate in any way?

Sensitive Teeth Help Please?

I see my dentist in a few days, and until now only a few molars were sensitive to cold and sweet foods/beverages. Now, all my teeth are sensitive, and I've read that it's from the dentine being exposed from eroded enamel. My question is, what should I ask the dentist for? A better toothpaste? How should I make the Harry Potter and the DH Part 2 premiere(3D) more enjoyable without any distractions?

It's going to be late and I don't want to be drowsy so I was planning on drinking a caffinated beverage aproximately an hour before the show starts. However I did my research on caffine and it is a diuretic so that might cause me to have to pee. Also another concern is that I will get a headache from watching the movie in 3D. So i was planning on bringing ibuprofen in case. I also read that caffine assists with painkillers so that is always a plus. Anyway I'm just trying to make the experience enjoyable. I cannot afford to spend the last time I will ever be seeing Harry Potter on the big screen feeling cruddy and miserable. I do not care if I sound paranoid because Harry Potter is kinda a big deal for me. So any advice? I'm camping out in a tent in front of the theatre so I will likely have a headache anyway. So, I went to college and have been enthralled with artistic endeavors. I have a substantial amount of creative angst and have a constant need for an outlet of some kind. Don't drink. It's just silly to drink something you dislike just to fit in. Your co-workers will get used to you not drinking. I had a similar problem when I became vegan and I would go out with my new friends and they all ordered meat dishes and I sat there nibbling on my little salad. But I believed in my choice and principals and stuck with it. Now, however, they all know I don't eat meat and don't even think twice about it, it's just become normal to them too. If they're really such nice people they probably don't mind when you don't drink and if they do hound you then they aren't very tolerant. Don't worry you'll get over the awkwardness after a while (especially once you get to know them better and become more comfortable with your co-workers)

My husband left us to go visit his family, he has 30 days and I want him to split it evenly am I being selfish?

He is in the military and he only has 30 days before going to the dessert for a year and a half, there is a possibility that we can go with him as well, but its not for sure just yet and won't be for sure for at least a couple of months. He went back home to visit his friends and family and does not have a return ticket back home, I told him that it would mean the world to me if he could make it back for the forth or July...this is also before he left that I had asked him, and he kept telling me "maybe" or we'll see. Now that the time has almost come and he still has no ticket back home, hes telling me it would break his sisters heart if he left her and that they haven't spent much time together. I understand that and I'm so sorry he's in this position. He asked me why it was so important for him to be here on the 4th, and that it needed to be special that way he'd have something to say to his mom and sister about coming back home. Am I being selfish? He's told me I am? I won't even be able to spend our first anniversary with him. Coping with looking and sounding like a child in your mid 20's...?

On one side, I'm very pleased that I obviously look young for my age. That said, I'm getting tired of being mistaken for a kid and all the disrespect that goes with it. I'm 25 and most people guess me to be about 17. My voice - even worse - on the phone, I have been mistaken for my 6 year old step daughter many times. I literally sound like a small child and have lost count of how many times that has been pointed out to me, however politely it may be said. I once attempted to order room service at a hotel and the man on the other end baby talked to me and asked me if my mommy and daddy said it was okay... lol. Just a few days ago a man maybe 10 years my senior asked me what I was going to be when I grow up. When my husband and I go out, he is addressed as "sir" and offered a list of alcoholic beverages at restaurants, while I am addressed as "sweetheart", and offered a soda. (not sure what sort of illegal relationship they think is going on there... but he's only 2 years older than me). When I go into retail stores, I notice I am followed near jewelry and other small items as if I'm a 15 year old with sticky fingers. People who are younger than me talk down to me, and just about everyone treats me like a child, barely old enough for high school. I honestly have tried to remain positive about all this, telling myself that at least I know for sure that I don't look old yet, and won't for quite some time, however the way people often treat me because of it makes it hard to stay positive. I admit, I often have to resort to the junior's section for clothing since they often don't carry clothing in my size in the women's department, however, I never wear anything with childish decoration or labels. No tshirts, no bright colors. I wear only earth tones, and solid colors. The way I dress seems to only help in making people believe I'm a conservative teenager. Honestly, you are better off getting them asap. I would try the name your own price, but my advice is look at the mid-priced ticket on priceline, and when you make an offer- (they might accept or counter offer).. but expect to pay AT LEAST what a regular ticket is... any $ you get off that price is money saved :) I have too many friends who thought they were going to get this phenomenal deal.. just be careful. One month pregnant what are some food and beverages i should stay away from?

No alcohol, limit caffeine strictly (my doc said to cut it out completely if possible), try and drink plenty of water as your kidneys are going to be working harder now. Don't eat any unpasteurized dairy, no soft cheeses, no deli meats, wash all fresh fruit and veg thoroughly, make sure all meat is cooked thoroughly, eat food while hot, reheat any leftovers until steaming hot and only ever reheat once. I was told to stay away from processed foods and eat fresh whenever possible. Also, if you eat canned tuna, make sure you eat it straight from the can instead of letting it sit in a salad or sandwich. Good luck hun it gets a bit annoying but well worth it! xxx

I need to lose weight. I'm not obese at all. I am about 5'7' - 5'8' and I weight about 175. I have tried everything I can but nothing works. I do not drink any beverage that has sugar in it. Including orange juice and alcohol. This is because I am a type 1 diabetic. I must lose 25 pounds if I am to be at a healthy weight in order to better manage my diabetes. It might not seem like it to others, but my doctor even says that I need to lose the weight. I limit my portion sizes and eat whole wheat breads(as I have always done since birth!!). Last month I worked out 5 days a week for an hour on my tread climber. But, I didn't lose any weight. And I mean nothing!!!!!!! If you think my workouts aren't at a high enough intensity I either walk 2.5 miles, run 1.5 miles, or I use the tread climber part and walk at 2.0-2.5 mph until I burn 500 calories (roughly 45-60 minutes). By no means is my body used to this seeing as how I alternate my goals and workout daily in order to encourage my body to just "Let GO" of the fat.

My boyfriend left for another country to vacation with a good female friend of his, should I be worried?

He has remained in contact with this friend of his whom he met in college, they have a lot in common, and the girl is currently studying/working in India. My bf has to go to Taiwan for a business meeting in three weeks, but without consulting with me first, he decided to fly into Thailand and vacation there with this girl for two weeks before going to Taiwan. Ok so tonight I was closing up my store and shut the A/C off and decided to open the door to air out the smell of the cleaning products I used to wipe down everything. A customer walked in and started flailing his arms..I walked towards him and I could NOT believe my eyes..it was a swarm of these flying insects all over the floor, on the beverage glass doors and just up on top by the ceiling lights!!! Anywhere there was light they flew around...omg I was going crazy I have NO idea where they came from it was such a horrific experience. I had no bug spray I've never had a problem like this before so I took my bleach water spray bottle and sprayed all that I saw. I've been going crazy all night doing my research trying to find out the name of this flying insect but I just can't seem to find out anythinbg about it. It looks similar to the usual house fly but it's thinner and longer. It has long white wings. The body has thin stripes of yellow/orange color and when I killed some of them, this yellow sticky stuff would come out..not a lot though. It's driving me crazy and I'm my room I think I'm hallucinating lol I keep thinking that there are bugs flying around me but there aren't..I can't get this sight out of my mind. Oh and another thing I wanted to add was they aren't that fast. You know how when you see a house fly resting somewhere and it sense you moving towards it,it flies away so fast? Well not with these..they just chill there and don't flinch. Please if anyone can help me identify what these bugs are I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks

It was 2am, and i went to the john, to my surprise there was a corpse in the bath, it was a pale female, her arms were outside of the bath, with blood dripping down from each wrist and a pool of blood on the floor, i felt amazing panic and fear such as i have not felt for a long time, it made me feel like a child, in fact i shouted out for my "Mum!" for her to help me even though im 40 years old, and my mum has passed away! The next day we asked reception and they confirmed someone had comitted suicide in that room, after losing their loved one in a car accident.

Hair dying- scared my hairs going to actually break!?

okay, since i was about 14 (i'm not 17) i've been dying my hair i'd say every 5 months or so. I've only ever used 3 permanent dyes within these years, and the rest semis. I straighten my hair about once every three days, and wash it once every 5 or so, because my hair is very dry. Within this time I use talcum powder as a dry shampoo if it looks greasy to try and minimise washing. about three weeks ago my mate works at toni and guy and he dyed my hair a semi reddy colour, my natural hair colour is a flat medium brown, and i loved it, and i've onyl washed my hair twice since but now i'm offered to model again and recieve the same semi permanenet. Im starting to worry cause people are like woah your hairs gonna fall out, and it looks really dry, and taily like all flyaway split bits of hair, and its so thick and frizzy looking. I;d never have the guts to cut off my hair completely but i'm, scared i'm going to have to. my wquestion- does reddy semi's damage your hair? am i advised not to repeat this, or will it nourish my hair? I heard a little rumor that Benzema will be signing with Juventus next season, though Real Madrid does not want to get rid of him for the price they offered, I believe a twist on the arm will do it, because Benz said he is not happy with Real Madrid because he never plays.
